  • Oregano is a Mediterranean herb used in Italian, Greek and Mexican cooking
  • Use in spaghetti and pasta dishes and over pizza
  • Greeks use as a great herb for souvlaki and baked fish
  • Oregano works well with grills and in stuffings, hearty soups, marinades, vegetable stews, even hamburgers
  • Adds flavour to oils and vinegars
  • Good with asparagus, tomato, anchovies, artichokes, beans, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cheese dishes, chicken, eggplant, duck, eggs, seafood, lamb, mushrooms, onions, stuffed peppers, pork and potato
  • Combines well with basil, bay leaves, chilli, cumin, garlic, paprika, parsley, rosemary, sage, sumac, lemon and thyme
  • Great sautéed with vegetables in olive oil and garlic
  • Make a savoury sauce with melted butter, lemon juice and oregano, drizzle over fish or poultry
